I was SO good this weekend!
Not sure why, but I was all sorts of motivated this weekend.

Last weekend, I convinced my husband to join my gym. So this weekend, we took our first work-out excursion. We lifted together and I introduced him to the new ass-kicking machines they have at the gym. They're called the "wave" and it's like roller blading, we each lasted 10 minutes (both of us can run on the elliptical for a good 30 minutes before we start to really tire out). All in all (even though I am SO sore today from lifting again), I had a great time and remembered how much fun it was to have a workout buddy (the time totally flew).

Then, today, I finished my homework (got 100% on my online assignment), went grocery shopping, sent money to the bills account, AND did laundry! Oh, and I cleaned up after dinner (but that doesn't really count because we have to do that every day). Plus, the doggies got TWO walks- one regular and one long!!

I don't know why I have all the energy today, but I have a sneaking suspicion it's because we went to the gym yesterday. For some reason, it was really, REALLY hot to see him lifting and being all mighty and strong- apparently that awoke a primitive "Me wife, me take care of you" thing.

I know I didn't do much this weekend domestically, but it's a lot for me (I've spent pretty much every day since the middle of January doing homework, and I still have 2 weeks of class to go before I can relax a bit).

So, what did you do this weekend? (Hint: tell me you did much, much more than what I did so I'm motivated to pick my wussy-ass up and do some more. My house needs a good scrubbing)

As for now, I am relaxing and rewarding myself with some good red wine. Hey, it's good for the heart, right? I also rewarded myself at the grocery store- I bought some nectarines and plums, because we hardly ever have fruit here. I love it, but I'm always running around and I forget about it (and my husband doesn't eat it), then it goes bad. I've only eaten one of the plums, but damn it if it wasn't the best plum I've had since I was a little kid!

6/29/2008 9:29:50 PM   From:  Ali   As per usual I worked all weekend and did NOT scrub my house as I was hoping to do. I decided it would be more fun to go play Wii instead, though I guess I can give myself a little pat on the back because I played Wii Fit.
6/29/2008 9:36:17 PM   From:  eddo   ok, I totally did no house cleaning this weekend, in fact, because the nephew was here both Saturday and Sunday, my house is a bit of a mess.... I did, however, clean someone else's yard. :)
